Discover Falabella Miniature Horses at Tegha Kennel

Welcome to Tegha Kennel, home to a dedicated miniature horse breeding program in India with a particular passion for Falabella horses and Falabella blends.

Falabellas are renowned for their exceptionally small stature, refined appearance and distinctive heritage. At Tegha Kennel, we believe that breeding miniature horses is about much more than producing small equines. Our focus is on responsible breeding, documented ancestry, DNA verification, sound conformation, temperament and quality care.

Our Falabella Breeding Program

Our breeding program is carefully developed around selected miniature horse bloodlines. We place importance on maintaining accurate breeding records and verifying parentage through DNA testing where applicable.

For prospective buyers, documentation is an important part of purchasing a horse. We encourage buyers to ask about pedigree, registration, parentage, DNA results and available breeding records before purchasing a horse advertised as a Falabella.

Our aim is to provide transparency and help buyers understand exactly what they are purchasing.

Purebred Falabella Horses

Purebred Falabellas are an important part of our breeding goals. Because we selectively retain promising females and bloodlines for our own program, purebred Falabella mares and fillies may only occasionally become available.

When suitable horses are offered, we can provide available information regarding their:

• Pedigree
• Parentage
• DNA testing
• Registration
• Bloodline
• Conformation
• Age and development
• Temperament

Availability changes according to our breeding program.

Falabella Colts & Young Horses

We may also have selected Falabella colts and young miniature horses available for experienced owners and breeding programs.

Young horses are evaluated according to their individual development, conformation, temperament and pedigree. Prospective owners can contact Tegha Kennel to discuss current availability and documentation.

Falabella Blend Foals

In addition to purebred Falabellas, Tegha Kennel may offer Falabella Blend foals.

A Falabella Blend can be an attractive option for buyers who want a small, elegant miniature horse while looking for a more accessible alternative to a documented purebred Falabella.

Depending on the individual horse, Falabella blends can be suitable for companionship, showing, driving, breeding or recreational activities.

Each horse should be assessed individually based on its genetics, conformation, temperament, training and intended purpose.

DNA, Pedigree & Responsible Horse Breeding

We encourage responsible ownership and informed purchasing.

When evaluating a miniature horse, buyers should look beyond appearance and ask for appropriate documentation. Important considerations can include:

DNA parentage verification – helps establish documented parentage.

Pedigree records – provide information about ancestry and bloodlines.

Registration documentation – helps establish the horse’s recorded identity and registry status.

Health and veterinary records – provide important information about the horse’s care and development.

Breeding records – help provide greater transparency about the horse’s background.

At Tegha Kennel, these details form an important part of our approach to miniature horse breeding.

Miniature Horses in India

Our Falabella miniature horse program is based in India, and we welcome enquiries from families, breeders, miniature horse enthusiasts and experienced owners.

Depending on the horse and destination, we can also provide information about veterinary documentation, transportation and international relocation requirements.

If you are interested in importing or exporting a miniature horse, destination-country regulations should always be checked before making arrangements.

Tegha Miniature Horses & Ponies is part of the Tegha family’s long-standing passion for horses and responsible breeding. Dr. Harshdeep Tegha was born and raised on the family farm in India, surrounded by horses and a tradition of hands-on horsemanship that has continued across generations.

My father was a renowned horseman who worked with, trained and cared for farm horses that we used on our own family farm. He also trained horses for other families for farm work, riding and driving.

This early connection with horses became the foundation for our family’s lifelong passion for breeding, training and raising exceptional equines.

Over the decades, our interest developed from traditional working and riding horses into the fascinating world of miniature horses and ponies. Today, Tegha Kennel has expanded this family passion into a dedicated miniature horse program, with a particular focus on Falabella horses and Falabella blends.

Specialising in Falabella Miniature Horses

Over the years, we have increasingly focused our breeding program on Falabella miniature horses, one of the world’s most distinctive and sought-after miniature horse types.

A genuine Falabella is more than simply a very small horse. Pedigree, documented lineage, registration and DNA verification are important when establishing a horse’s ancestry.

At Tegha Kennel, we believe buyers should take the time to research the breed, understand the differences between purebred Falabellas, Falabella blends and other miniature horses, and ask breeders for appropriate documentation before making a purchase.

DNA-Verified Falabella Bloodlines

Our goal is to maintain accurate and traceable breeding records. Where applicable, our Falabella horses are DNA tested for parentage and lineage verification, helping us maintain reliable breeding records and transparency for our clients.

We place strong importance on pedigree documentation, responsible breeding, traceability, temperament and quality when developing our miniature horse program.

Purebred Falabella Horses

Purebred Falabella horses are an important part of our breeding program.

Because of our commitment to maintaining selected bloodlines, we may occasionally offer a purebred Falabella filly or mare when we have an appropriate horse available from a bloodline we can responsibly release.

Our priority is to retain outstanding females and valuable bloodlines within our own breeding program whenever possible.

We may also have DNA-tested Falabella colts available from time to time. Availability depends on our breeding program and individual bloodlines.

For current availability, pedigree information, DNA documentation and registration details, please contact Tegha Kennel.

Falabella Blend Miniature Horses

Although we specialise in purebred Falabellas, we also understand that many families are looking for a beautiful miniature horse with an approachable price point.

For this reason, we may offer carefully bred Falabella Blend foals at suitable stages of development.

Falabella blends can be wonderful miniature horses for a variety of purposes, depending on their individual conformation, temperament and training. They may be suitable for:

• Showing
• Driving
• Breeding programs
• Companionship
• Family ownership
• Recreational activities
• Therapy and educational settings where appropriate

Every horse is an individual, so suitability should always be assessed based on its age, temperament, conformation, training and intended use.

Choosing a Genuine Falabella

If you are searching for a purebred Falabella miniature horse for sale, we strongly recommend researching the breeder and asking for evidence supporting the horse’s claimed pedigree.

Unfortunately, miniature horses are sometimes advertised as Falabellas without sufficient documentation to substantiate their ancestry.

Before purchasing, prospective buyers should ask questions such as:

Is the horse DNA tested?

Is parentage documented?

Is the horse registered with a recognised Falabella organisation or registry?

Can the breeder provide pedigree and registration documentation?

Can the breeder explain the horse’s bloodline and ancestry?

These questions can help buyers distinguish between a documented Falabella, a Falabella blend and an unrelated miniature horse.

We encourage every prospective buyer to conduct their own research and verify documentation independently before purchasing any horse.

Finding the Right Miniature Horse

Choosing a miniature horse is about more than colour, size or appearance.

We believe the right match should consider the owner’s experience, intended use, available facilities, future plans and the horse’s individual personality and abilities.

Whether you are looking for a purebred Falabella for a breeding program, a miniature horse for showing or driving, or a beautiful Falabella Blend as a companion, we are happy to discuss your requirements and help you understand the options available.

We want every miniature horse to go to a home where both the horse and owner can thrive.

Our Commitment to Our Clients

If you are considering purchasing a miniature horse from Tegha Kennel, we encourage you to contact us with your questions.

Whether you are considering a future purchase, already own a miniature horse, or simply want to learn more about Falabella horses and miniature horse breeding, we are happy to share our experience and provide guidance wherever possible.

Our aim is to help you make an informed decision and find the miniature horse that is the right match for your requirements.

Thank you for visiting Tegha Miniature Horses & Ponies at Tegha Kennel. We look forward to sharing our passion for miniature horses with you.

Polly is kept in an open stable environment and is accustomed to safe, appropriate fencing. She is a confident young mare who has been introduced to many everyday experiences and enjoys learning new things.

Pedigree & Bloodline

Polly’s sire is Mr. Ronaldo, a licensed stallion from the Tegha lineage. He is a beautiful black winter-rapp stallion measuring approximately 92 cm.

Her dam is Pixie, a stunning pinto mare who unfortunately did not have a documented pedigree or passport. Pixie produced several beautiful foals before sadly passing away last year when Polly was approximately four months old.

Training & Handling

Polly has already developed a wonderful foundation and is accustomed to:

• Trailer loading
• Regular farrier visits
• Walking and exploring with her handlers
• Basic foal training
• Clicker training
• Wippe exercises
• Everyday handling and stable routines

She is curious, willing to learn and enjoys positive-reinforcement training, particularly clicker work.

Registration & Foal Inspection

Polly holds a passport issued through the breeding association and received a score of 2 at her foal inspection.

Finding the Right Home

We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced and horse-friendly home where Polly can continue her development with appropriate young-horse handling, training, nutrition, socialization and care.

Polly is still young and deserves an owner who understands the importance of allowing a growing horse to develop at the right pace while building a strong foundation for her future.

Polly Pocket is a lovely young mare with a promising start, a charming personality and a wonderful future ahead of her.

Our Falabella miniature horses are bred in India and available for international export to Canada and Dubai, subject to applicable import, veterinary, quarantine, airline, and government regulations. We assist buyers with the required documentation and export process to make international transportation as smooth as possible.

Falabellas are among the world’s most distinctive miniature horse breeds. They are valued for their extremely small size, elegant proportions, refined appearance, intelligence, and affectionate nature. Despite their miniature stature, a well-bred Falabella retains the characteristic appearance and movement of a horse rather than simply looking like a scaled-down pony.

At Tegha Kennel, we place particular importance on temperament and responsible breeding. Our bloodlines are selected for a calm, gentle, friendly, and people-oriented personality, making our Falabellas wonderful companions for families, private collections, hobby farms, and miniature-horse enthusiasts.
